Varous Artists Ursula 1000: Ursadelica ESL Music Release date: November 2, 2004
It’s cocktail time! The king of lounge brings us his fourth release. Funky rhythms to Sixties Brit Garage to soulful house give you the feeling you’re watching a sunset on a crowded patio with a martini in you hand. But this isn’t your father’s lounge. Ursula 1000 finds 20 tunes that push every facet of the sound. This release has a more funk and rock feel than his previous which had a stronger tiki mood. He includes an original piece along with a couple of his remixes. The first half is laid back while the second half gets rowdy-just when your third martini kicks in. And if you ever get a chance to hear him live-you won’t be able to stop dancing.
