Pumping dancefloor masters: D:Fuse and Mike Hiratzka join forces to bring you their latest experiment away from dance music with Skyline Lounge. Catapulting from their live shows, the two haul out their drums and guitars, mixing them up with their synths. There are a bunch of notable guest vocalists like DJ Rap, Kristy Thirsk, and Angel-A. All this experimentation leads to something that unfortunately doesn’t thrill. With all the live vocals and mellow tempo this follows a Tori Amos album more than a dance album. This is a case of mislabeling of a dance artist’s product. Not exactly dance-y and not exactly lounge-y, Skyline Lounge will nevertheless find a space on many a raver’s player due to the lack of chill discs out there.
